VMG is certified by the California Department of General Services as a qualified Micro / Small / Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE). Additionally, we are federally certified as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and registered on the Federal CCR. As such, we can assist with contracting compliance under Section 999.9 of the California Military and Veterans Code and Title 38 United States Code 4212(a) / HR2297 / Public Law 108-183. We also utilize other Disabled Veteran Enterprises whenever outsourcing allows. We have a pool of former military professionals in the IT, public affairs, media and numerous other fields upon whom we call. B.F. “Jack” Jernigan, the principal of the Jernigan Group / VMG, completed nearly twenty-two years of active and reserve military service separating as a Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) for Public Affairs and Electronic Media. Serving domestically, in Central America and in Western as well as Eastern Europe, his military experiences include:

• Public, community, interagency, legislative and media relations • Supervising radio and television field news reporter, producer and assignment editor for AFRTS • Photojournalist • Public Affairs & Media Production Instructor • Motion picture military advisor • Documentary production • Conceiving and creating electronic, visual and print media for training, educational and informational applications • Public affairs staff management, supervision and training as well as records management, procurement, logistics, budgeting and strategic planning.

During his military career among his many awards for his professional achievements Jack has received the Army and Air Force Commendation Medals, the Army Achievement Medal and was twice awarded The California Commendation medal.

After completing his military career Jack founded The Jernigan Group / VMG, an award winning creative agency specializing in advertising, outreach, public affairs and consulting with a wide variety of government clients. Jack also works independently providing voice-overs and narrations in numerous markets and has been the voice of the statewide California General Election Ballot for the visually impaired.
